Georgia Boyer Anders' Obituary
Georgia Boyer Anders age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Anders was born on November 19, 1920 in Grayson County, Virginia to John and Lona Sexton Boyer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Cosby Anders; sister Elizabeth Fender; brothers Fields Boyer, Paul Boyer and Earl Boyer.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Dick Cooley of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law John and Mary Edwards of Harker Heights, Texas; step-daughter Louise Osborne of Independence, Virginia; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; ten step great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 4:00 PM in the First Christian Church with Rev. Randy Morris and Rev. David Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Christian Church or the Mt. View Baptist Church.
