George Ellis Wilson's Obituary
George Ellis Wilson, age 84, of Galax, VA, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA.
Mr. Wilson was born Jan. 7, 1924 in Grayson County to Berlie and Bessie Sheets Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Opal Carico Wilson, sons & daughters-in-law, Jerry & Mary Lee Wilson, Galax, Rickey & Donna Wilson, Galax, daughters and sons in law, Cheryl & Wayne Hines, Galax, Dawn & Terry Galyean, Galax,
Machelle & Donald Burcham, Fancy Gap, VA, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one step-granddaughter, one step great-grandaughter, one step-great grandson, one niece, several nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held, Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Meadow Creek Cemetery, The family will receive friends from six until eight PM Monday at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Pete Hawks will be the officiating minister.
