George "G.W." Washington Ayers' Obituary
George W. Ayers (G.W.) age 83, of Galax, VA, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at the Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA.
Mr. Ayers was born Sept. 20, 1927 in Carroll County, VA to Wesley Fonzo and Nellie Mary Bowers Ayers.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; brother, Matthew Ayers and sister, Alma Ayers Thomason.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Cox Ayers; sister Dossieree Williams and brother
Bill Joe Ayers all of Galax, VA.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Mt. Pisgah Church of Christ with Marvin Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the church.
