George Monroe Joyce age 54 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Galax, Virginia.

George was born on July 8, 1960 in Galax, Virginia to Warren Monroe and Junko Shiina Joyce. In addition to his father, George was preceded in death by a brother David Joyce.

He is survived by his wife Diana Crowder Joyce of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Kara Joyce and Joe Leggio of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Takeshi and William Smith of Hillsville, Virginia; Chris Dowling of Raleigh, North Carolina; mother Junko Shiina Joyce of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Caden Smith; Addison Smith; Harper Smith; sister and brother-in-law Marie and David Howell of Panama City, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law James and Melissa Joyce of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Charles and Tammy Joyce of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special friends Allen and Doris Taylor "Ma and Pa" and beloved pets Corbin and Bella.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 12:30 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with William Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until 12;00 noon at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
