George William Anders age 63 of Fries, Va. passed away Monday night February 4,2008 at his home. Mr. Anders was born on April 5, 1944 in Carroll County, Va. to George William & Helen Akers Anders. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Rutherford. He is survived by his wife Frances Anders; son Dennis Anders both of Fries, Va.; sisters & brothers-in-law Linda & Clyde Burnett of Woodlawn, Va., Charlotte Cogil of Stafford, Va.; Louise Davis of Pilot Mountain, N.C.; Mary & Pete Landreth of Galax, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Robert & Judy Anders of Fries, Va.; several nieces & nephews; special friends David & Pam Boyer, Roy Barrett & Dick Widner. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 3:30 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Matt Linkous & Rev. Charles Smythers officiating. Burial will follow in Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
