Geneva Maxine Hines Houk age 90 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

She was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 6, 1934 to Frances Eugene and Lola Cox Hines.

She is survived by her son Robert Hines of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother Ronald Hines of Galax, Virginia; one niece; three nephews and their families; special fur babies Andreas and Takoda.

The family would like to give thanks to the staff of Galax Health and Rehab and to the staff of Medi Home Health and Hospice for the care given to Geneva during her stay at the facility. The family would like to give special thanks for all the care love, hugs and kind words expressed to Geneva and her family by staff working closely with her in A-Wing, Hospice and visiting staff from B-Wing and the office staff during her final days of Comfort Care.

There will be no services held at this time. The family respectfully request no food or flowers please. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
