Geneva Carico Higgins' Obituary
Geneva Carico Higgins age 95 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Higgins was born on June 21, 1916 in Carroll County, Virginia to Charlie and Lola Kirby Carico. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Worth Higgins; sisters Winnie Carico Cox and Jessie Carico Cox.
She is survived by her daughter Karen S. Higgins of Galax, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; special caregivers Anita Hawks; Jeanette Horton; Lisa Turner; Whitney Smith and Geneva Shaw.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2:30 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Joe Carrico and Rev. Terri Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 PM until time for the service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
