Geneva Goad Boyer age 87 of Galax, Va. passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Mrs. Boyer was born in Carroll County, Va. on February 2, 1921 to Marion & Mary Cox Goad. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Crilly Ray Boyer. She is survived by her daughters Ann Norman & Janice Boyer both of Galax, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Donnie & Brenda Boyer of Clemmons, North Carolina; sister Rita Edwards of Galax, Va.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Barry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Hampton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
