Gayle V. Amburn, 64, of Fancy Gap, Virginia passed away Friday, December 23, 2016. Gayle was born in Carroll County, Virginia on October 29, 1952 to the late Carl and Geneva Burcham Vestal. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Matthews.
She is survived by her husband Roger L. Amburn of the home; sister and brother-in-law Vera and Orba Semones of Hillsville; sister-in-law Wilma Matthews of Woodlawn; nephews and their wives Jason Semones and Anita; Darrin Matthews and Melissa; great nieces Maddie Semones and Clarice Matthews; great nephew Graham Matthews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday December 27, 2016 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Don Ball and Rev. Eddie Roland officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Chapel Baptist Church, c/o Hank Testerman, 136 Beeline Drive, Galax, VA 24333
