The following is a courtesy announcement by Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
Gaye Roberts Taylor age 68 of 285 Ridgewood Drive, Mt. Airy, N.C. passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Gaye was born August 3, 1943 in Galax, Virginia to the late Harold and Keister Farmer Roberts. Gaye was a retired secretary for Dr. Gil Burke.
Surviving are her husband Don Taylor, Sr. of the home, son Don Taylor, Jr. of Mt. Airy, one grandson Tyler John Taylor of Mt. Airy, one brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Sandy Roberts of Woodlawn, Va., brother-in-law and sister-in-law Fleet and Lori Taylor of East Bend, N.C., her aunt and uncle Veda and Ronnie Robinson of Woodlawn, Va., and several special cousins.
The funeral service will be held Friday September 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with Rev. Jeff Wall and Rev. Roger Redd officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home.
