Garver Dale Turman's Obituary
Garver Dale Turman, 82, of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, Virginia. Mr. Turman was born June 5, 1932 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Joseph Landon Turman and Lizena Goad Turman.
Mr. Turman proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Ova Jean Turman of the home; daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Randy Smith of Dublin, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Ben and Barbara Turman of Galax, Virginia. Three grandchildren: Daniel Turman, Julie Turman, Jared Smith along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Fairlawn Church of Christ Cemetery with Nathan Crowe officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
