Garland Jack Davis age 61 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Jack was born on August 10, 1956 in Galax, Virginia to Ernest Freeman and Etta Leota Evans Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amelia "Milly" Rector.
He is survived by his wife Nellie B. Davis of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Misty and Josh Rector of Fries, Virginia; April and David Stanley of Galax, Virginia; son Robin Davis of Galax, Virginia; sisters Thelma Walker of Galax, Virginia; Mildred Waters of
Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law Carl and Karen Davis of Sparta, North Carolina; Ernest and Dianne Davis of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Garry Adams and Elder Pete Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the Galax City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
