Gale Barnett Leonard age 64 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 in Silver City New Mexico.
Gale was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 13, 1951 to Thurman and Ruby Pauline Stamper Leonard.
In addition to his mother Pauline Leonard of Galax, Virginia, Gale is survived by a son Travis Gale Leonard and his fiancee' Becky Radcliff of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Cassie Leonard and Ely Leonard; sisters Sharon Burcham of Montana; Nancy Hutchens of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Yevette Leonard of Hillsville, Virginia; Allen and Margarita Leonard of New Mexico; Edward and Lesa Leonard; Daniel Leonard; Randall Leonard all of Galax, Virginia; Jeffrey and Pam Leonard of Sugar Grove, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Locust Grove Church of Christ with Craig Embree and the Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
