Fred Fleming Mcgee's Obituary
Fred Fleming McGee, age 86, Galax, VA, passed away Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC.
Mr. McGee was born in Mt. Airy, NC Feb. 4, 1927 to the late Richard Logan and Evelyn Booker McGee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alene Manus McGee.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane McGee Haynes, Galax, VA; son & daughter-in-law, Dick & Sandra McGee, Fountain Inn, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Haynes, Rick & Valerie McGee and James & Amanda McGee; great-granddaughter, Helaina McGee; sister, Juanita Daber, Mt. Airy, NC; brother, Sam McGee, Greensboro, NC. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11. 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel, Galax, VA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service Wednesday at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Doug Stuart.
