Fred Elwood Carico, age 80, Fries, Virginia, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA.
Mr. Carico was born June 19, 1932 in Grayson County, VA to Paul & Nora White Carico.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Carico, Fries, VA, daughter & son-in-law, Cathy & Darrell Carpenter,
son & Daughter-in-law, Nicky & Angela Carico, Ennice, NC; step daughters & spouses, Faye & Randy Moser, Corpus Christy, TX, Sandy & David Moser of Fries, VA;Pam & Greg Carico of Fries, VA; step-sons & spouses Bradley Hampton, Kenneth Hampton, Terry & Debbie Hampton all of Fries, VA and Jeff & Linda Hampton, Carsonville, VA; sister, Tonya Lenheart, Dillsburg, PA; four grandchildren, seventeen step-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Center View Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Carico Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service Monday at the church. Pastor Greg Carico, Brian Frazier and the Rev. Randy Bledsoe will be the officiating ministers. Military rites will be performed by the Grayson County VFW Post #7726.
