Franklin Delano Stroupe age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Stroupe was born in Galax, Virginia on September 23, 1941 to Alexander and Mamie Ellen Jones Stroupe.
He is survived by his wife India Ellen Stroupe of Martinsville, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Tammy Renee' Barker of Martinsville, Virginia; Angela Wahlig of Wilmington, Delaware; Karen Melissa and Michael Williams of Dandridge, Tennessee; six grandchildren Indya Cooke; Jordan Barker; Joshua Williams; Nathanael Williams; Abigail Wahlig and Kanaan Williams; one great-grandson Harrison Eden Williams; sister Betty Pratt of Cumberland, Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews; close friend Billy Tibbs of Galax,Virginia.
The funeral service will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, New Hampshire 03086.
