Franklin Don Funk age 64 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at his home.
Don was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 10, 1949 to Kermit and Ruth Lovell Funk.
He is survived by his loving companion Judy Lawson of Fries, Virginia; children and spouses Shannon and Barry Gallimore of Fries, Virginia; Carolyn and Chris Hoback of Wytheville, Virginia; Linda and Brad Dunford of Max Meadows, Virginia; Michael Lawson and Dawn Blevins of Fries, Virginia, sisters and brother-in-law Lorraine and Delmos Rotenberry of Washington, DC; Nancy Funk of North Carolina'; grandchildren Kayla and Philip Cressell; Anthony & Heather Chrisely; Michael and Danny Lawson; Steven and James Dunford; great-grandchildren Edward Cressell and Elizabeth Chrisely; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Matt Linkous and Rev. Chuck Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
