Frank Lawson, Jr. age 83 Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Lawson was born in McDowell County, West  Virginia on December 19, 1935 to Frank James Lawson, Sr. and Sylvia Magdaline Hooven Lawson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Becky Carico.

He is survived by his wife Audrey Light Lawson of Galax, Virginia; daughter Jewel Padgett of Woodlawn, Virginia; three grandchildren Megan Padgett; Sherry Norman and Sarah Carico; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Opal Clifton of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. James Cowley officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
