Frances Helen Smith's Obituary
Frances Helen Smith age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Smith was born in Grayson County, Virginia on November 20, 1928 to Rennie Franklin and Emma Clare Funk Carico. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Porter Alex Smith.
She is survived by her brothers and sister-in-law Wayne and Evelyn Carico; Leamon Carico all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and husband Mozelle Wonderly; Virginia Carr; Edna and R.L. Todd.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Crab Creek Cemetery with Mark Valentine officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
