Frances Elizabeth Cockerham King age 85 of Winston-Salem, North Carolina passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mrs. King was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 3, 1938 to Coy and Mary Elizabeth Russell Cockerham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Clara Wilson; Haliene Cole; Edith Flynt; Stuart Cockerham; James Cockerham and D.A. Cockerham.

She is survived by her husband Thomas W. King of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; daughter Elizabeth (Beth) King of Davidson, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Gregory (Greg) and Susan King of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; sister Jeanie Brewer of Kernersville, North Carolina; sister-in-law Pat Cockerham;  four grandchildren Greg King, Jr. (Devin); Steffie King; Mason Hicks; Emily Hicks; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews,

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Snow Hill Cemetery with Betty Ann Smith officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
