Halsey
July 4, 1933 – September 27, 2022
Frances Eads Halsey was born July 4, 1933 in Mt Airy, North Carolina and went to be with the Heavenly Father on September 27, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Halsey, Jr.; her son William" Bill" Halsey, III; and her parents, Albert and Lula Eads.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mark Brachey of Grapevine, Texas; four grandchildren, Eric and Megan Halsey, and Tommy and Andy Brachey; her sister, Helen Lail; four great grandchildren; five nieces and nephews; and friends including Imogene Norman, Betty Parrish, Wanda Pinion, Kelley Morris, and many more.
She was a long-term member of First Baptist Church of Galax, where she enjoyed attending and listening to on the radio. She also enjoyed her association with the Kazim Temple and Eastern Star. Frances was the co-owner of Halsey AMC & Jeep, H & H Farms, and was the manager of J. A. Eads Co.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin Rosenfeld and Pastor Sam Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 Noon until service time.
Per her wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the First Baptist Church, 1024 East Stuart Drive, Galax, VA 24333
