Forest Kaye Overstreet age 64 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday March 21, 2022 in the Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

She was born on July 8, 1957 in Carroll County, Virginia to Nevia and Alma Goad Newman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Overstreet; sister Janie Richardson; brother Wade Newman and brother-in-law Donnie Spears.

She is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law Dina Jackson; Jessie and Elwood Harmon all of Galax, Virginia Barbara Spears of Ennice, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Dale Spears officiating. There will be no visitation.
