Florence Elizabeth Shumate age 69 of Max Meadows, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Radcliff, Kentucky.
She was born on October 6, 1942 in Fries, Virginia to Francis Jackson and Stells Bourne Campbell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Leon Shumate.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Tim Shumate of Radcliff, Kentucky; Andy and Carrie Shumate of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Sarah Shumate and Alex Shumate; sisters and brothers-in-law Inez Williams; Maggie McKenzie both of Galax, Virginia; Mable and Garnett Stuart of Independence, Virginia; Helen and Donald Higgins of South Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law Eulice and Wilma Campbell of Max Meadows, Virginia; Dallas and Clara Campbell of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Richard Gregory officiating.
There will be no visitation.
