Obituary

Little Faye Helen Beamer Early was the third child of ten born on January 15, 1922, to the late Reverend Joe Bill and Daisy Hasamaclora Willis Beamer in Carroll County Virginia. Growing up in the hills of Galax, Virginia, Faye learned the teachings of GOD directly from her father. She was just as enthusiastic about his sermons as he was about sharing the WORD. Faye was the second Mom to her younger siblings and enjoyed every second of it. She committed her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Oldtown Baptist Church in Galax, Virginia. She received her education at Oldtown Elementary school and the Christiansburg Institute in Christiansburg, Virginia.

Faye met, fell in love and married her soul-mate, the late Robert Lee Early, Sr. in September 1943. From that union, three children were born.

Faye's enthusiasm for teaching flourished at a young age and she went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in Early Elementary Education and English from Bluefield State College in Bluefield, West Virginia. Faye and Robert were the first married couple to graduate in the same class at Bluefield State College. Faye taught First Grade in Oldtown and Independence school districts in Grayson County,Virginia. The family moved from Galax to Prince Williams County and finally settled in Prince Edward County Virginia. Faye taught primarily Kindergarten and First Grade. She continued her education taking post graduate courses at Radford College, Richmond Professional Institute, Commonwealth University, University of Virginia and Longwood College.

Faye, the mature servant of God, continued her understanding and spreading the WORD as a Deaconess at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Hampden-Sidney, Virginia and later as an honorary Deaconess at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Marbury, Maryland.

Faye carried the knowledge and wisdom of our family in her heart and became the family historian. She was a very strong, thoughtful and generous lady who was respected and honored by those who came in contact with her including her family, friends, students, teachers and leaders in the community. She will always be remembered for her kind words and energetic personality.

Faye, Mom, Grandma, Aunt Faye and Mrs. Early was a true leader and friend, a mentor to others and a spiritual counselor. She was a profound teacher and a dedicated and devoted wife and mother.
