Ewell Edgar Spivey age 80 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, January 25, 2008 at Waddell Nursing Home. Mr. Spivey was born on January 3, 1928 in Galax, Va. to Edward Edgar & Ruby Grace Houseman Spivey. He is survived by his wife Thelma Spivey of Galax, Va. sisters Lennie Spivey Franks & Helen Fielder both of Galax, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law Olen W. & Blanche Spivey; Camet & Rita Spivey all of Galax, Va.; brother-in-law & his wife Frank & Catherine Billings of Welch, West Va.; sisters-in-law Mary Waddell of Welcome, N.C.; Pauline Billings of Chesapeake, Va.; Agnes Billings of Elkin, N.C.; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Ron Hill & Rev. Don Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Cliffview Church of God.
