Everett Frank Caudell, Sr. ge 93 of Galax, Va. and formerly of Fries, Va. passed away Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Waddell Nursing Home. He was born in Alleghany County, N.C. on December 9, 1912 to the late Shady Mack and Flora Jane Taylor Caudell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Mary Rakes Caudell. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann Caudell Bowman & Larry of Red Lion, Pennsylvania; son and daughter-in-law, Everett Frank Caudell, Jr. & Rebeca of Galax, Virginia; a sister, Blanche Dean of Fries, Va.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Lee Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from ten until eleven at the funeral home before the service.
