Evelyn Gay Turner Williams age 88 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the Springtree Health and Rehab Center in Roanoke, Virginia.

Mrs. Williams was born in Fries, Virginia on February 7, 1930 to William Jackson and Daisy Carico Turner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George C. Williams; two sisters Edna Mitchell and Liz Barrett and one brother William "Flash" Turner.

She is survived by her children and spouses Sandra and Ozzie Gauldin of Vinton, Virginia; Mark and Mary Williams of Fries, Virginia; Pam and Joel Souther of Sparta, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouse Adam and Kristen Williams; Brian Williams; Holly and Jesse Bazemore; three great-grandchildren Dawson Williams; Mia Williams and Brooke Evelyn Bazemore; brother H. Douglas Turner of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Providence Cemetery with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
