Evelyn Paige Ward age 76 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away September 30, 2006 at her residence. She was born October 24, 1929 in High Point, North Carolina to the late Carl and Ruby Montgomery Wagoner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. James Ward. She is survived by her children and their spouse, Brenda Denson of Eden, North Carolina; Rita Blevins; Teresa & Richard Goodman all of Dobson, North Carolina; Barbara & Wade Lawson of Shalotte, North Carolina; Martha & Homer Norman, Donna Green, Nathan & Dawn Ward all of Fries, Virginia; Mark & Lanor Ward of Max Meadows, Virginia; Dan & Sarah Ward; and Ted Ward all of Ivanhoe, Virginia; sisters, Dorothy Wagoner of Greensboro, North Carolina; Emily Hoover and Judy Chambers both of Asheboro, North Carolina; Cynthia Sherman of Ether, North Carolina; brothers, Holt Wagoner of McLeansville, North Carolina and Hoyt Wagoner of El Paso, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Saturday November 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Cold Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Blevins; Rev. Steve Alderman; Rev. Matt Linkous and Rev. Mark Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from one until two before the service at the church.. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Cold Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to either the Fries or Ivanhoe Fire Department.
