Evelyn Annaree Huffman, 81, of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab, Independence, Virginia. Mrs. Huffman was born December 6, 1933 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Ira Cox and Sylvia Farley Cox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Audrey Sizemore and a brother Junior Cox.

She is survived by her husband Trenton Huffman of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Rick Huffman of Los Vegas, Nevada and Greg & Lisa Huffman of New London, North Carolina; sisters and brother-in-law: Marie Vaughan of Austinville, Virginia; Edith and Frank Carter of Galax, Virginia; Pauline Maners of New London, North Carolina; brother-in-law and spouse Jim and Vera Huffman; one granddaughter and husband: Cassie Huffman Hines and Chris; three step great grandchildren Gabe, Clay and Joey; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. D. G. Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery, Galax, VA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
