Evelyn Marie Hodge, age 72, of Lexington, NC died Friday, April 1, 2011 in the Lexington Memorial Hospital, Lexington, NC.

Mrs. Hodge was born Aug. 23, 1938 in Grayson County, VA to Clarence and Ada Kirby Snow. She was the widow of Willie Scott Hodge.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Hodge and Charles Hodge both of Lexington, NC; grandson, Charles Michael Hodge; great-grandsons, Michael Stone Hodge and Austin Brian Hodge; brothers, Gene Snow, NJ, Leland Snow, Hillsville, VA; sisters, Gladese Kirby and Maxine Stanley both of Laurel Fork, VA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Herbert & Betty Phillips, nephews & spouse, Joe & Sharon Hash, Michael Phillips; niece, Mary Jane Bobbitt and several other nieces & nephews survive.

Funeral service will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery, The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, VA. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Rodney Christman.
