Evelyn Ada Sawyers Lineberry Taylor better known as Tootsie Taylor age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Wythe County, Virginia on July 31, 1933 to Earnest B. and Mary Opal Davis Sawyers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Junior Frederick Lineberry and Roy Taylor.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Mary Alice and Mark Webb of Galax, Virginia; Sandy Jean and Barry Brown of Woodlawn, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Michael Wayne and Angie Lineberry of Hillsville, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Patsy and Gale Frazier of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend H.K. Payne.

The funeral service will be held Monday, January 16,2017 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, 17th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60601-7633.
