Eva Jane Shupe Vaughan, 82, of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, Virginia. Eva was born June 4, 1932 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Earnest William and Nancy Elizabeth Landreth Shupe. In addition to parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dewey P. Vaughan and three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by four children and spouses: Melinda Vaughan; Douglas Vaughan; Philip and Elizabeth Vaughan all of Fries, Virginia; Amy and Darren Reed of Gate City, Virginia. Seven grandchildren: Janie Griffith, Melissa Parsons, Mandi Funk, Garrett Vaughan, Zack Vaughan, Austin Reed and Haley Reed; four great grandchildren; Sophia Parsons. Mila Griffith, Grayson Griffith and Luke Funk; sister Nell Shupe Hammond and brother and sister-in-law Curtis and Ann Shupe also of Fries, Virginia. Many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, 40 Crusader Lane, Fries, VA . The family will receive friends Saturday evening (March 28, 2015)at the Liberty Hill Church from 6:00 PM until. Burial will be held at a later date.
