Eva Forest Patton's Obituary
Eva Forest Patton age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Patton was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 23, 1919 to John Kenny & Alice Hill Ballard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred G. Patton; daughter Betty L. Vaughan; sons Robert G. Patton and David Dwain Patton; granddaughter Susan A. Handy.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Catherine A. & Jerry L. Williams of Princeton, West Virginia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Marvin Williams officiating. Burial will follow in McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Free Clinic of The Twin Counties, P.O. Box 1708 Galax, Va. 24333.
