Eva N. Pate age 85 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Waddell Nursing Home. Mrs. Pate was born in Surry County, North Carolina on March 28, 1922 to the late Isaac & Liza E. Anthony Norman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Pate. She is survived by a niece Susie Powell of Galax, Va.; several cousins & special friends. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 11:00 am in Fairlawn Church of Christ with Richard White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
