Eva Sue Melton Padgett's Obituary
Eva Sue Melton Padgett, 71, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, at Waddell Nursing Home. She was born October 18, 1944 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Daniel Robert Melton and Lillie Robinson Melton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Chester Melton.
She is survived by her husband Rupert Padgett of the home, three sisters Ruby Eastridge and husband Rufus of Galax, Virginia; Mary Ann Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia; Lula Amstutz of Galax, Virginia and brother Dennis Melton of Woodlawn, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral Service will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Joseph Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton Cemetery, Woodlawn, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family respectfully requests no food.
