Eva Sue Cox Sizemore age 82 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Ms. Sizemore was born in Carroll County, Virginia on April 27, 1935 to Hubert and Nina Carico Cox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arlie Sanford Newman; children Martha Lee Newman Beamer and Arlene Newman Moser Davis; grandson Daniel Ray Beamer; brother Jr. Cox; half-sisters and half-brothers Marie Cox; Mary Cox; Ann Price; Shirley Cox Stoots; Forest Cox and Lee Cox.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rita Newman and Brady Scott Creed of Galax, Virginia; grandson Coty Jarritt Moser-Davis of Galax, Virginia; half-sisters and spouses Jeanette and Preston Newman of Galax, Virginia; Nancy and Roger Lineberry of Woodlawn, Virginia; half-brother and wife Nelson and Jean Cox of Austinville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; staff at the Waddell Nursing Home; foster grandchildren Gary (Crystal)Alderman; Keri McLain Bobbitt; foster great-grandchildren Beau and Michael Alderman; Gunner Bobbitt.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Coulson Church of The Brethren with Pastor Hal Sonafrank and Pastor Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Coulson Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Coulson Church of The Brethren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
