Eva Waleen Combs age 75 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday November 17, 2006 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. She was born in Carroll County, Va. on September 23, 1931 to the late Tom & Millie Lawson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Ray Calfee & Edgar Combs. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Barbara & Gary Hundley of Hillsville, Va.; son & daughter-in-law, Nelson & Wilma Calfee of Galax, Va.; step-children & spouse, Denise & Moe Davis of Galax, Va.; Jim & Mary Ann Combs of Hillsville, Va.; sister & brother-in-law, Peggy Jean & Billy Sizemore of Austinville, Va.; brother-in-law & spouse Ernest & Peggy Calfee of Galax, Va.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two step-grandchildren and her lifelong friend Kathleen Lawson. The funeral service will be held Sunday November 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Pleasant View Holiness Church with burial to follow in Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
