Eva Sue Caudill, widow of James Howard Caudill, age 72, of Woodlawn, VA, died March 8, 2008 at the Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC. Mrs. Caudill was born July 30, 1935 to James Delbert and Cynthia Velin Sparks Cox in Carroll County, VA.
Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Tim and Patty Caudill, Fries, Terry & Sofia Caudill, Woodlawn, J. D. & Christy Caudill, Hillsville; daughter & son-in-law, Jeanne & Mike Webb, Galax; grandchildren & step grandchildren, Angie Burcham, Andy Burcham, Brandy Frost, Amanda Caudill, Kasey Caudill, Jeremiah Caudill, Nevaeh Caudill, Jacob Whitaker & Mike Webb; sister & brother-in-law, Patsy G.& Bobby Wilder, Woodlawn; several nieces & nephews; special friends, Rhudy McBride, Freeda Gardner, Claude Gardner, Quinten & Ruth Turner, Y. B. & Sue Hall & Ricky Hall; special caregivers, Janice & Jay Fields, Buelah Ring, Sherry Hammond, Darlene Wilson, Elisha Kirby & Twin County Home Health & Pro Careers staff and others.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Caudill was preceded in death by three brothers, Clinton, Lewis and Alvin Cox; three sisters, Frances Huff, Delores McBride and Louise Bedsaul.
Pallbearers will be the following: Jerry, Tim, Terry, J. D., & Kasey Caudill, Claude Gardner, Jacob Whitaker and alternates, Ricky Hall & Andrew Bobbitt.
The funeral service will be held, Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the Hebron Church of Christ with burial in the Newman Cemetery. The officiating ministers will be Billy Burnett, Sammy Burnett and the Rev. Jay Fields. The body will lie in state for one hour preceding the funeral service and the family will receive friends at the Vaughan-Guynn Funral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday. In leiu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hebron Church of Christ.
