Eunice Alverta Dyke's Obituary
Eunice Alverta Dyke age 86 of Independence, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Dyke was born on February 28, 1926 in Richlands, Virginia to Turman and Maude Osborne Baldwin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Norman Dyke and daughter Cheryl Yates.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Pat and Bob Carlson of Ohio; son and daughter-in-law Larry and Rose Dyke of Independence, Virginia; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11:30 AM in the Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Roland officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Brush Creek Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Gooch officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Gideons International.
The family will be at the home of Larry and Rose Dyke on Monday after the memorial service where friends may call at anytime.
