Eula Frances Edwards age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday October 19, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 4, 1936 to Emmit and Alice Willie Ray Anderson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Reece Lynn Edwards; sisters Pauline Robinson; Irene McLean; Mae Gunnell; Cecil Melton; Opal Hamock; brothers Elmer Anderson; Hoyt Anderson; Archie Anderson and Garfield Anderson.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Marvin and Angela Edwards of Fries, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Phyllis and Harry Shupe of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Sandy and Tim Nester; Lois Brannock and Mike Harris all of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren Amy Cooke; April Young; Jerry Mason and Jamie Brannock; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday October 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Crooked Creek Community Church with Pastor Jeff Stowers officiating. Burial will follow in the Crook Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Crooked Creek Community Church.
