Eugene Whitfield Sizemore known as "Big Howdy" age 74 of Galax, Va. passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Mr. Sizemore was born in Carroll County, Virginia on April 22, 1934 to Robert & Addis Norman Sizemore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Michael Sizemore. He is survived by his wife Gelene Sizemore of Galax,Va.; sister-in-law and her husband Loretta & Larry Leath of Ennice, N.C.; nephew & fiance' Mark Leath and Kim Simmons of N.C.; niece Christy Johnson of Ennice, N.C.; great-nephew Easton Johnson; special friends Jerry & Anna Leonard; Billy Johnson; several cousins and friends. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 27, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery with Rev. David Moore officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
