Eugene  "Harlow"  Dowling age 88 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday October 3, 2022 at his home.

Mr. Dowling was born in Grayson County, Virginia on September 28, 1934 to Roby Sidney and Myrtle Williams  Dowling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Michael Dowling  and several sisters and brothers.

He is survived by his wife Maxine "Deanie" Dowling of Fries, Virginia, sons and daughters-in-law Ricky and Cathy Dowling of Low Gap, North Carolina; Jerry and Terry Dowling of Hillsville, Virginia; daughter-in-law Tina Dowling; grandchildren and spouses Christopher Dowling; Eric Dowling; Matthew and Hannah Dowling; Jake and Renea Dowling; Tyler Dowling and Andrew Dowling; great-grandchildren Jeremy, Lane and Clay; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Providence Cemetery with Brother Bo Bo Gravley officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
