Eugene Bottomley age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Bottomley was born in Galax, Va. on June 9, 1927 to Romey & Lillie Redd Bottomley. He is survived by his wife Irene Bottomley of Galax, Va.; daughters & sons-in-law Dianne & Larry King of Dublin, Va.; Gloria & David Fowler of Galax, Va.; sister & brother-in-law Mary & Thurman Frost of Galax, Va.; brother Garnett Bottomley of Fieldale, Va.; three grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 27,2008 at 2:00 pm in Bishops Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Harmon officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
