Etoile Amburn Morton age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 in the Blue Ridge-Golden Living Center.
Mrs. Morton was born on January 11, 1919 in Galax, Virginia to Columbus Franklin and Lavada Stoneman Amburn.
She is survived by her husband Bill C. Morton, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law Zeke and Erin Morton; grandchildren Britt Morton; Bekah Morton and Lauren Morton; sister Jewel Melton all of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law and husband Ruby and Stacy Brown of Pensacola, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Walt Simmerman and Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Galax Fire Department Auxiliary C/O Erin Morton 106 Pine Knoll Drive Galax, Virginia 24333.
