Ethel Virginia Isom McBride, widow of William McBride, age 93, Galax, VA died at her home Saturday, July 4, 2009.
Mrs. McBride was born on April 23, 1916 to James Alexander and Alverta Carico Isom in Carroll County, Va.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Libby & Joe Wilson, Galax, one son and daughter-in-law, Frank & Barbara McBride, Galax, granddaughters & Spouses, Holly & Chad Dunford, Amy & Jeremi Richardson, grandsons & spouses, Josh & Denice McBride, Jerrod Wilson, Todd & Shannon Wilson, sister & brother-in-law, Jo Ann & Richard Burnette, Galax, brother & sister-in-law, Edgar & Alma Isom, Memphis, TN, several nieces & nephews, special caregivers, Pat Davis & Charlotte Easter. brother-in-law, Jesse McBride, Galax, five great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
The funeral service will be held
Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the Cliffview Church of God with burial to follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the church. The officiating ministers will be the Rev. Ron Hill and the Rev. D.G. Fox.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Twin County Hospice, 308 South Main Street, Galax, VA 24333.
