Ethel Marie Kegley age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Kegley was born in Maryland on November 7, 1926 to Roy and Lela Anderson McMeans. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Fred Kegley.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Judy Plant and the late Gary Plant; Janice and Gary Lineberry all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Tammy and Hobert Bailey; Jon and Mary Plant; Ginny Plant; Ashley Lineberry; Sara and Darren Hanks; great-grandchildren Garrett Bailey; Gavin Bailey; Molly Plant and Madisyn Hanks; half-sisters and spouses Shirley and Joe Frances; Ruth and Hugh Halsey; half-brother and spouse Pete and Verna McMeans; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 4:00 PM in the Mt. Vale United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Callahan and Rev. Rick Lindamood officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vale United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 PM until service time.
