Ethel Bircham Farmer age 95 of Waynesboro, Va. and formerly of Fries, Va. passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Saint Lukes in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Farmer was born on May 14, 1914 in Virginia to Aaron Fulton & Mary Wickam Webb Bircham. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel R. Farmer and son Sparky Farmer.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Glenda F. & Bill Cregger of Salem, Va.; son & daughter-in-law Louis A. & Jean Farmer of Waynesboro, Va.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 3,2009 at 3:30 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:30 until 3:30 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
