Estien "Dick" Richardson age 90 of Galax, Va. passed away Saturday, February 4, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born in Meadows of Dan, Va. on February 2, 1917 to the late Henry & Malinda Stanley Richardson. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Richardson of Galax, Va.; daughters & son-in-law, Sally Richardson of Galax, Va.; Ruth & Gary Gardner of Cleveland, Tennessee; son & daughter-in-law William & Sandy Richardson of Pulaski, Va.; sisters Edna Lopez of Stuart, Va. and Evelyn Stanley of Rural Hall, N.C.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Walt Simmerman & Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Mausoleum. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Mrs. Richardson.
