Ernest Maiden Hawks, Jr., age 80, of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, June 11, 2018 at his home. Mr. Hawks was born May 31, 1938 in Carroll County to the late Ernest Maiden Hawks and Bertha Funk Hawks.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Binky Haga, Galax, Virginia, son and daughter-in-law Stacy and April Hawks also of Galax; sister Marie Williams of Greensboro, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law: Sonny and Bobbie Hawks of Pulaski, Virginia; special caregiver and friend Linda Davis. Four (4) grandchildren, six (6) great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church, Fries, Virginia. A graveside service and burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery at 3:00 PM with Rev. Benny Haga and Rev. Darrin Brannock officiating.
