Erik Guthrie Miller, 41, of Galax, Virginia passed away on December 17, 2025. He was the beloved son of Charles and Deborah Miller and loving older brother of Corey Miller.

Erik was a caring and thoughtful soul whose life was defined by connection, friendship, and heart. He cared profoundly about people and believed everyone deserved to feel seen, valued, and included. Aware of his differences, he sought understanding and inclusion, always striving to stay busy and engaged. Erik lived with purpose. He wanted to make an impact, and he succeeded through his actions, his work, and the way he treated others. He stayed active by helping local small businesses with side jobs, always willing to lend a hand, show up, and contribute, leaving a lasting impression on those around him. Erik was a memorable presence in Galax's downtown community.

Friendship meant everything to Erik. He formed meaningful bonds with people from all walks of life and treasured the sense of community those relationships provided. He was especially grateful for the friends who welcomed him, supported him, and walked alongside him with understanding and kindness. These connections gave Erik great joy and reflected his deep capacity for loyalty, trust, and love.

Above all, Erik will be remembered for his generous heart, his perseverance, and positive mark he left on his community. His life was a testament to the power of compassion, inclusion, and friendship, and his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life honoring Erik will be held on January 3, 2026 at 2-4 PM at Galax Country Club 107 Country Club Ln Galax, VA. This gathering will be a time to remember Erik as he lived - through love, laughter, stories, and shared connection.
